The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence operates in the framework of the Department of Private International Law and European Economic Law of the Faculty of Law, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). The Department was awarded the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence title in 2001. The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence of the Faculty of Law, ELTE is the leading research centre in EU Law in Hungary. Its aim has been to promote research and teaching on EU integration and EU Law.
Currently, the Department of Private International Law and European Economic Law runs the Jean Monnet Module ‘Perspectives of Unification of Private International Law in the European Union’ with the financial support of the European Commission.
