My research areas include the criminal law of the European Union, the impact of the EU's accession to the European Convention on Human Rights on EU criminal law, the principle of mutual recognition in practice, European victim protection in light of the case law of the Luxembourg and Strasbourg courts, the criminological characteristics of hate crimes, and the investigation of the causes of hate crimes in Hungary in an international comparative perspective.
